Well, let's just say I'm not being constantly shadowed by a German exchange girl anymore...I've been solitary now for a week or so, and I'm not really missing her company. She stayed at my house (in MY bed) for two weeks and went to all my classes and tennis games. She spoke maybe 5 sentences in English to me, the rest was fluent German which made communication even harder. She was immature and fooled around when she was with just me, but around others she clammed up. She clogged my toilet and stole my chocolate. I had to send a search party for her at one of the away games I played because she had just walked away during the middle of it without telling anybody. Plus at the airport, when she was leaving, she never said goodbye or thank you to my family. Very rude, I think. But anyway that was awhile ago and I'm slowly recovering from this traumatic experience.
Happy belated birthday to Meaghan! I had the date marked off on my calendar but somehow forgot anyway, so sorry about that. Hopefully you will read this and stop kicking asterisks up my...(lol, old joke). I am missing you NY people very much, my friends here are like hi and bye friends, you know, the kind you talk to during class and that's about it. No offense to any New Jerseyers...(I don't think they read this anyway). I mean, the least I could do is remember your birthdays and all.
Right now I'm at the library because my AOL isn't working at home. That's why I haven't been on in like a month. And I'm about to be kicked off...[pretending to be typing some ######## school assignment].
Oh, what did you all think of the PSAT's? Decieving little bastards, I know. Left 10 math questions unanswered. And don't you think its twisted that they take off points for being wrong? They're the ones that gave us the 3 freakin' wrong answers.
Alright, that's the update for now. Love you!!!! (kinda)

Well. A couple of you have been hampering me to write another entry, so here it is. Even though you might have given up checking since then...
School has started! No more freshman-itis! I also got my schedule changed cuz I dropped history honors, so period 5 I have lunch and 8 is U.S. History 1 CP with Mr. Latham. It's been okay so far, gym is the worst because I don't know anybody and hate doing the stupid games. Like today we played handball, only with a football so we could learn how to throw it for our football unit. I didn't get the ball once. Oh, and here's another great thing about gym: our equipment is old and cheap. The football we used had no laces! I really don't care how to play football or handball; I'm not going to be tested on either, and I'm not going to be doing them in my free time. I do LOVE tennis though- I actually made the team! I even have a game tomorrow, 3rd doubles. Yeah, all you tennis freaks are probably rolling your eyes, but I only started playing this summer, so I'm pretty excited.
Good sites: www.fredflare.com and www.kerrygear.com. The first has really cute shirts, totes, and stationary, you should definetly check it out. The second site has John Kerry items, you know, for us Democrats in favor of ridding the White House of Bush. Shirts, jackets, dog tags, stickers, hats, buttons, etc. It's not expensive either. And if you're 18, please register to vote!!! It's so important, and I would love you even more if you do, even you ruddy Republicans.
Alo, check out www.mugglenet.com and make it your #1 Harry Potter site. They cover so much about the stuff us commoners don't know, so I'm a big supporter of it. Recently they gave a list of scenes being cut from the 4th movie- the Yule Ball, Dursleys, SPEW, and wand weighing to name a few. Really disappointing...:-(
Anyway, I've been on too long as usual, so don't expect me back until next week at the least. Love you!

Okay, most of you probably know this already, but the sixth Harry Potter book has an official title: HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE. Yeah, it's pretty exciting, I know.
Anyway, it's Fourth of July and I'm here on my computer listening to fireworks. There's too many damn trees around to actually have a visual. My brother is going away to camp for 5 weeks tomorrow, which is almost exciting as the HP news. The acting camp I signed up for got canceled b/c not enough people signed up. Sucks. And there goes the fireworks finale. Boom...crackle...crunch...crackle...BOOM.
Tomorrow is Olivia's sleepover thing. I don't know WHAT to give her. Probably money and a card. I asked her what she wanted and she didn't give me a specific answer soo...hey, don't look at me like I'm cheap!

School is done! Well, actually, I have a lot of summer work for my two honors classes. For English I have to read Grapes of Wrath, Ethan Frome, Farewell to Arms, and The Red Badge of Courage, and write two 5 page essays. For History I've got a research paper, and all this other stuff (I don't really want to bore you). So, I don't know if I'd call it done. But at least I'm not a freshman anymore!
Guess what? My parents did say I could have Jasmin stay over. We've e-mailed each other and she seems really nice. I hope she doesn't get bored with me though, cuz I'll have tennis and homework and work. Yeah, I hope she doesn't think I'm a geek lol.
I really really REALLY want to see The Notebook! If you've seen it leave a comment!
July's website: Eragon If you haven't read this book by Christopher Paolini, you'd better. It's the first in the Inheritance trilogy. It's one of my favorites.
There's not much else to talk about...so I'll leave you to comment. So far only my friends have, but I'd like to hear from others too.

Spontaneously, I decided to try out for the JV Tennis team next season. Gotta start practicing! (cough, Lindsey and Laura) Olivia, you should get the forms before it's too late. Update on Ian: he has a dachsund Harry who's 18 years old (that's 126 in dog years!). I have a dachsund Jimmy Dean who's 5. Coincidence? Also, I'm doing this acting summer school thing. My cousin Courtney from Washington might do it too. For my b-day, I wanna have this huge gigantic sleepover thing. That's all for today! -Danae

First off, I'd like to start off by saying, no, exclaming:
GO AND SEE HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't care if you can't Dissapparate or don't have enough Floo powder! Get there somehow. Muggles have these things called automobiles, or you could simply summon the Knight Bus. But really, that film was brilliant, the best of the three. You could really see and feel the difference, thanks to the new director, Alfonso Cuaron. There were different kinds of shots than the first two films, a different mood, different look. Hagrid's house is not in the same location, but they obviously had to move it because of the Buckbeak situation. Harry, Hermione, and Ron aren't always wearing their school robes in this one, and Daniel, Emma, and Rupert have become really talented actors and actresses. The new cast members were great, especially David Thewlis (Lupin). I really liked him. The whole movie was pretty fast paced, and there were some funny parts, not to mention scary, so overall, it was really good. Yes, they did leave some information pertaining to Harry's father out, but if J.K. Rowling didn't like the way it was done, she would have said something. They had to change some things around for movie purposes, and after all, it was an adaptation of the book, so of course they're going to do it their own way. I do wish there was more of Dumbledore, though. There might have been some things that I would have done differently, but I really enjoyed and appreciated how they made it their own while staying true to the plot.
This is the end of my review for now, because I've got to go to work. Comments on the movie and my opinion will be posted from everyone who writes one, along wih my reply, so please tell me what you think! So long.

Things Which Make Him Great + He reads Stephen King. + He watches CNN and knows who all the Cabinet people are. + He was born July 27th, which makes him a Leo (just like me!). + He does his own laundry (he's a Downy user). + He's in marching band.
He's a geek!!! A tall one at that. But he can also be a smart ass, and smart-asses always win me over.
About my day: It was real crappy outside, so I didn't wear my new outfit as planned. Instead I wore grey sweatpants and a longsleeve, oversized, black Pirates of the Caribbean shirt I got from Disneyland. In gym we went outside on the track when it was freaking freezing cuz our bald gym teacher is a psycho. As soon as we step out side he's like "Oh, it's a beautiful day!" and it's all cloudy and cold. Science test. Pretty blah. And I still have to write my 3 minute speech!
My life is pretty boring as of right now, but it'll get better over the summer, I promise.

MOVIE REVIEW
Troy Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Diane Kruger, Peter O'Toole I actually saw this movie May 14th, the day it came out, at the drive-in. It was brilliant. The whole movie is action and war, intertwined with love and history. The Trojan horse they made for the film was amazing. Not to mention the costumes (Orlando in a skirt!) and nude scenes (Brad!). The cast delivered a great movie. I can't wait until the soundtrack comes out. Josh Groban has a song on it called "Remember Me". It's still in theaters, so if you haven't already, you should see it on the big screen. Nothing much happened today. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) was on Live with Regis and Kelly, so I taped that. I think Emma Watson will be on there on Friday. Ok, so more backround on me. I like this guy Ian, but me and my friends call him CG (no, not computer graphics). It stands for Clarinet Guy. But, he's no elf and no pirate, so I guess we're just gonna end up on the Jerry Springer show together someday (lol Meaghan). Uh, yeah, don't ask. That's all for now, I have to do research on Turkey. Bye! ~Danae~
Saturday, May 29, 2004
Hi. I'm not going to start with telling you about myself, you can look that up yourself. Anyway, I'm proclaiming next week, beginning May 30th, the best week of 2004 yet. Here's why:
Sunday- no school Monday- no school Tuesday- wear a new outfit Wednesday- wear a hotter new outfit; no gym class Thursday- Model U.N. (I'm Turkey) Friday- HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN OPENING DAY!!! Saturday- Exit 22 concert (a band from school) Actually, I'm getting kinda anxious about the whole Model U.N. thing. I still have to make a flag and find a recipe for me to cook. Plus also, I have a 3-minute speech and a question and answer session, and I don't know anything about my topic! There will definetely be a special report for that day. I will try to write a lot. I plan on giving movie reviews, updates of my life, websites of the month, and other stuff. By the way, the website of the month for June is www.mugglenet.com, which is of course, my fave Harry Potter related site. I'm off to bed now. I've stayed on way too long. Might not be back till Tuesday, or even later. TTYL! ~Danae~
